Overhead Valve (OHV) Design

With overhead valve design, the Honda GX340's intake and exhaust valves are located directly above the cylinder head, offering superior performance and efficiency when compared to older flathead engine models. OHV engines offer smoother air intake for more usable energy, higher compression ratios for greater power output and better thermal balance for less wasted gas and decreased oil consumption.

CDI Magneto System

The GX340's Capacitor Discharge Ignition magneto system utilizes a flywheel magnet that spins to charge the capacitor, providing a rapid, high-voltage burst of energy to the spark plug. The CDI system ensures a reliable spark for easy starting and provides consistent energy at high engine speeds.
