GX340 Series

Overhead Valve (OHV) Design
The GX340's valves are located above the combustion chamber allowing for enhanced fuel mixture intake, more complete exhaust and a higher compression ratio. The OHV layout of Honda's GX340 engines results in greater power output, reduced cylinder distortion and more efficient oil consumption for longer maintenance intervals.
CDI Magneto System
The GX340's Capacitor Discharge Ignition magneto system utilizes a flywheel magnet that spins to charge the capacitor, providing a rapid, high-voltage burst of energy to the spark plug. The CDI system ensures a reliable spark for easy starting and provides consistent energy at high engine speeds.
